Course breakdown

This seminar introduces a systematic approach to confidently and consistently treatment plan cases with different degrees of complexity, optimizing the esthetic, functional, structural, and biological outcomes, including:

  • The Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning: from the patient interview to treatment plan presentation
  • Incorporating occlusion into smile design for long-term stability
  • The Stomatognathic System: Physiologic versus Pathologic state
  • Maxillomandibular relationships (maximal intercuspation vs. centric relation – when and how to record it)
  • Critical and practical aspects of occlusion: functional guidance and occlusal plane – what the clinician needs to know
  • Demystifying the Occlusal Vertical Dimension
  • Smart selection of restorative materials
  • The integration of the analogic concepts with the digital tools for full-mouth cases

Learning Objectives:

  • Provide scientific foundation to clinical decision-making and quality control
  • Discuss how to integrate the critical principles of occlusion into the treatment plan
  • Review and update state-of-the-art techniques and procedures for best results
