Questions & Answers
How damaging is it to a dental practice when a patient's esthetic needs are not satisfied? How important is a harmonious smile in one's social life? What are the thought processes that help guide a patient to choose and accept an esthetic rehabilitation? These questions represent of the some of the current fundamental principles of esthetic rehabilitation. In this seminar, esthetic criteria and proper case treatment planning with Digital Smile Design will be analyzed to evaluate the most effective communication with patients. Indirect ceramic veneers are an important option in current esthetic dentistry and protocols for excellence are needed to have a predicable result. Several steps must be reviewed: digital planning, mock-up, pre-visualization, preparation with different designs for buccal, incisal and proximal areas. The try-in phase is a strategic step in preventing problems during final bonding. An accurate analysis of adhesive cementation options is an element that guarantees an excellent prognosis with more fragile materials. All these aspects are essential to achieve success and provide full patient satisfaction.
